Handling

Allison Jones

Allison has been showing dogs since the age of 6.  As a Jr. Handler, fifteen year old Allison qualified to compete in Junior Showmanship at the Eukanuba National Championship in December of 2006 and at the Westminster KC show in February of 2007.  At that time (06/06), Allison was ranked as the #1 Doberman Jr Handler and also the #1 Working Group Jr Handler. She also won Best Jr. Handler at The ABC. Allison gave up Jr. Handling in 2007 in order to persue a professional handling career, which is growing rapidly.  She has finished many Boxers for Pheasant Hollow, taken BOB on competetive circuits and at Specialties, and has done the same with many other breeds, including Dobermans, Great  Danes, Goldens Retrievers, Kerry Blues, and Miniature Pinschers. Allison won her first Best in Show with an Australian Shepherd in 2010 at the age of 19.   She successfully campaigned a Top 20 Boxer in 2010 and 2011, receiving many Best In Specialty and Best Of Breed wins.  Allison specializes in training pups and preparing them for the show ring.

Many people assume because my mom and I breed boxers together, that I will not show for anyone else or that it will be a conflict. As an up and coming handler I am now taking on new customers of any breeding. I am looking forward to working with different breeders and handling other boxers as well as my own. I am also branching off into other breeds as well. I would like to think of myself as the handler that a middle class person can afford. The prices of handling can be very expensive . I require that your dog is trained by me prior to taking him/ her into the ring. This will give us a chance to get to know each other, and will give us a better advantage while showing.  I will board your dog here for 1 week. I will train him or her for the ring or if you are local; I will set up a schedule for every other day to get your dog prepared to show. My rates are very reasonable and I do not charge expenses which very often can bring your handling bills to almost double. Especially with the economy where it is. I have finished many other boxers for breeders in our area. I have many references from prior clients who's dogs I have finished and cared for. Feel free to ask for them. My currant policy is that if I happen to be showing any of my personal house dogs, at a show and a clients dog and mine take their classes, then my dog will be handed off and I will only go back in on my clients dog, according to seniority. I feel that I have a unique and special bond with most of my clients dogs and I can bring out the best in them. Dogs seem to sense my love for them and respond to me very well. As a successful breeder I am aware of the faults that a particular dog may have and will work on conditioning as well as training the dog to show off his/her attributes and not his/her faults.  We live near Stewart international airport and offer a pick up service for my clients. Please feel free to contact me for any information. I am looking forward to branching out, and welcome any and all inquires. I finished 7 of our dogs in 2010  and campaigned a top 20 boxer 2010 and 2011. I am looking forward to a successful 2012. My promise to any one who gives me a try is that I will do my very best to provide a fair service to you and your dog. I will do my best to give it my everything while I am in the ring and outside as well. Your dog will be treated with the kindness and love he/she deserves. I have finished many boxers. I have won many specialties. I won the stud dog class and took third in the same class at the ABC. I also won the brood bitch class as well, with one of my first paying clients and friend Donna Shaffer's bitch of DC boxers. I placed in almost every class I had a dog in. I've show for some familiar Kennel names such as DC boxers, Lyndell boxers, Tormac boxers, Cinerhee boxers, Denali boxers, Oakridge Boxers to name a few. If interested in booking me for a show, train a puppy or adult, or do ring conditioning, kindly send me an email and I will return your call asap. My schedule is on the bottom left of the page and handling agreement on the right. Thank you,I looking forward to working with you and your dog.
